4.4 PROCEDURE FOR READING FROM PROM

The following is a procedure for reading out the contents of PROM to the external data bus (D0 to D7).

(1) Always set each pin as follows: MODE0/VPP = H and MODE1 = L. Connect unused pins according to PIN

CONFIGURATION (2).

(2) Apply +5 V to the VDD and MODE0/VPP pins.

(3) Input the address of data to be read into the A0 to A16 pins.

(4) Read mode (CE = L, OE = L)

(5) Output the data on the D0 to D7 pins.

Fig. 4-5 is a timing chart of these steps (2) to (5).
