POWER SUPPLIES DECOUPLING AND LAYOUT CONSIDERATIONS
Power supplies to digital systems may contain high
amplitude spikes and other noise. To optimize per-
formances of the TS7514 operating in close prox-
imity to digital systems, supply and ground noise
should be minimized.
This involves attentionto powersupply design and
circuit board layout.
The power supplies should be bypassed with tan-
talum or electrolytic capacitors to obtain noise free
operation. These capacitors should be located
close to the TS7514. The electrolytic type capaci-
tors for improved high frequency performance.
Power supplies connections should be short and
direct. Ground loops should be avoided.
